The KiWest Signature Facial is the most-booked treatment in our spa - a 60-minute facial designed around what your skin needs on the day, not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Whether you live in Bridgetown, you're visiting Barbados from abroad, or you're prepping for a wedding on the west coast, this is the facial we'd put first on your list.
What makes it the signature isn't a single ingredient or step. It's the way every part - the cleanse, the exfoliation, the extractions, the mask, the massage, the serums - is chosen by your therapist based on a real skin analysis at the start of the appointment. Two people on the same day can have completely different facials under the same name. That's the point.

What's included
Every Signature Facial follows a 7-stage rhythm. The products and intensity inside each stage adjust to your skin, but the structure is consistent so the result is reliable.
Magnification, lighting, hands-on assessment. We map your concerns before touching a single product.
Oil-based cleanser to lift sunscreen and pollution; followed by a water-based cleanser for the skin itself.
Enzymatic, acid, or physical exfoliation chosen for your skin type and the season.
Only if needed and only on the areas where it'll help. Hygienic, painless when done well.
Face, neck, decolletage. Drains puffiness and lifts the contours of your face.
Hydrating, calming, brightening, or clarifying - whichever your skin will benefit from most today.
Targeted serums sealed with a moisturiser and SPF before you leave the room. You walk out protected.
Who books the Signature Facial
Three groups make up most of our regular Signature bookings:
Monthly maintenance clients
Come every 4 to 6 weeks, the same time each month. Their skin compounds - brighter tone, fewer breakouts, smaller pores, slower aging. They almost never need anything more aggressive because the discipline of regular care is doing the heavy lifting.
Pre-event clients
Booking 7–10 days before a wedding, photoshoot, holiday, or big work event. The 7–10 day timing is deliberate - any temporary post-extraction redness or breakout has fully settled, and the skin looks at its peak.
Tourists & honeymooners
One Signature Facial during a stay in Holetown, St. Lawrence Gap, or anywhere on the south or west coast. Often paired with a KiWest Signature Massage the same afternoon for the full reset.
Why it's better than what you can do at home
It's a fair question - serums and at-home masks have come a long way. But three things still happen in a professional facial that you can't replicate at home:
- Skin analysis. Your therapist sees what you can't - congestion under the surface, dehydration in skin that looks oily, inflammation that's about to turn into a breakout. They adjust the treatment before it shows up on your face.
- Layered, professional-strength products. The exfoliants, masks, and serums in the treatment room are higher concentrations than retail and used in combinations that maximise effect without irritation.
- Manual lymphatic massage. The drainage and de-puffing can't be matched by a roller. You leave looking like you slept ten hours.
Designed for all skin types and the Barbados climate
This isn't a generic European facial protocol applied in a tropical setting. It's purpose-built for what living in Barbados does to skin - across all skin types and tones:
- Sun damage repair - even daily SPF wearers accumulate UV stress here. We layer brightening serums and antioxidants targeted at the visible signs.
- Dehydration in humid climates - counterintuitive but real. Air-conditioning, sea swimming, and chlorine strip moisture from the skin barrier. Hydrating phases of the facial restore it.
- Sweat-clogged pores - particularly for active clients. Our extraction phase clears what daily cleansing can't.
- Pigmentation care - we use techniques that minimise the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is a particular concern for melanin-rich skin.
Aftercare
Your skin will look its best 24 hours after the facial - not immediately. For the first day, treat the skin gently:
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, and chlorine pools for 24 hours
- Skip strong active ingredients (retinols, vitamin C, AHAs) at home for 48 hours
- Reapply SPF generously the next day - freshly exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive
- Drink water. Most clients see immediate plumpness boost from rehydrating
- If you had extractions, avoid touching the area and skip makeup for 12 hours if possible
How it compares to our other facials
Use this to decide between the Signature and our other options:
- Signature ($180 / 60 min) - the all-purpose go-to. If you don't have a specific concern, this is what you book.
- Mini Facial ($100 / 30 min) - express version. Cleanse, exfoliate, mask, hydrate. Skip the extractions and decolletage massage. Tourist-friendly.
- Microdermabrasion ($140 / 30 min) - mechanical exfoliation when texture and dullness are the main goals.
- Hydrating Facial ($200) - pure hydration focus for visibly dehydrated, sun-stressed skin.
- Anti-Aging Revival Facial ($200) - targeted at fine lines, firmness, and tone.
- Deep Cleansing Facial ($200) - if you're dealing with active breakouts or congestion.
- Sensitivity Facial ($200) - for reactive, redness-prone skin where most facials are too much.
- Combined Acid Peel ($120) - targeted resurfacing.
Frequently asked
Is the KiWest Signature Facial good for sensitive skin?
The Signature can be adjusted for mild sensitivity, but if you have a clear history of redness, rosacea, or reactivity, our dedicated Sensitivity Facial is built around your skin. Tell your therapist when you book.
Will it help with acne?
Mild and moderate breakouts - absolutely. For active cystic or inflammatory acne, we'd typically recommend the Deep Cleansing Facial as the primary treatment with Signature as the in-between visits.
Can I have a Signature Facial during pregnancy?
Yes. Many of our pregnant clients book the Signature throughout. We avoid retinols and certain acid combinations and lean into hydration and gentle exfoliation. Tell your therapist on arrival.
How far in advance should I book?
Weekday slots usually open within 5–7 days. Weekends fill faster - book 10–14 days ahead. Pre-event facials should be locked in 2–4 weeks ahead so you can hit the ideal 7–10 day window.
Can I add anything to the Signature Facial?
Yes - the most popular add-on is gentle eyebrow shaping ($25) tacked onto the same appointment. Some clients add a back facial or pair with a 30-minute massage either before or after.
