The combined service is currently bundled at $40 BBD instead of $50 - a 20% saving on booking the tint and the wax separately. It's a permanent featured price for KiWest clients and one of the easiest add-ons to your existing wax visit.

What this service actually does

Brow tinting and brow waxing solve different problems - that's why combining them works so well.

The tint

A professional vegetable-based brow tint is brushed onto the brow hair and the skin underneath, then left to develop for around 10 minutes. It darkens fine, sun-bleached, or sparse hairs and adds a subtle stain to the skin so even gappy brows look fuller. The result is brows that read as denser and more present - particularly useful in photographs and under bright Barbadian sun.

The wax

While the tint develops, your therapist preps the wax. After the tint is removed, we wax a clean shape around the new, darker brow line - so the silhouette of your brow looks intentional and polished, not just removed. We work with your natural shape rather than fighting it, which is what separates a good brow result from one that looks pencilled-on.

Done together, the tint colour gives the wax something stronger to shape around, and the wax cleans up any stray hairs that the tint would otherwise highlight. It's a reinforcing pair - the result is more than the sum of the two services done at different times.

Before any tint goes on, your therapist will agree the shade with you. Three options:

• Perfect match - the natural-looking choice. Brows look like your own on a great day. The most popular pick.
• One shade deeper - for camera-ready definition. Recommended for events, photos, or anyone with naturally darker hair who wants to compensate for sun-lightened brows.

Your therapist will steer you if your preference doesn't suit your colouring - we'd rather have a five-minute conversation than tint you a shade you'll wish you hadn't picked.

Most KiWest clients rebook the combined service every 4-6 weeks. If you'd rather space them out, the tint can be done on its own between full Brow Tint & Wax visits.

Aftercare for Caribbean conditions

Brow tint fades faster in Barbados than it would somewhere cooler - sun, salt, sweat, and oily skin all accelerate it. Three things keep yours looking fresh:

• Sunscreen on the brows. Sounds odd but it works. UV breaks down the tint pigment quickly. SPF 50 daily extends colour by a week.
• Avoid oil-based cleansers on the brow area for the first 24 hours. They strip the tint before it's set.
• Don't exfoliate the brow area for 48 hours after. Acids and scrubs lift the tint along with the dead skin.

You can - but your therapist will gently cleanse the brows before tinting. If you've drawn your brows in heavily, expect a clean, undrawn version on arrival so the tint colour goes on accurately.
